Dybala stars as Juventus strengthen grip on top 4 place

Published on

After what has been a difficult campaign, Juventus took a big step in securing Champions League football for next season after they squeaked past Sassuolo 2-1.

Juventus now sit eight points clear of Roma in 5th and with just four league games to go, it would take something extraordinary for Juventus to miss out on a top 4 finish.

It wasn’t an easy night’s work for Juventus who had to rely on all of their reserves in order to get the all-important victory.

Sassuolo took the lead in the first half thanks to a goal from Giacomo Raspadori. Looking like they would be trailing at the break Juve needed to muster something special to get back into the game and they got it through Paulo Dybala’s excellent strike.

Dybala looks to be on his way out of the Turin club this summer with rumors circling that a move to Inter could well be on the cards. Dybala who has had an injury disrupted season has now scored 9 Serie A goals. When fit and firing Dybala is still a dangerous proposition for any team.

Moise Kean struck late to earn Juventus the vital win.
