Lithuania vs. England takes place tonight in a Euro 2016 qualifying game.
The game, which takes place at the LFF Stadium in Vilnius, is scheduled to kick off at 19:45 BST and airs live in the United Kingdom on ITV/ITV HD.
Speaking ahead of the game, England manager manager Roy Hodgson has tipped Everton starlet Ross Barkley to secure a regular central midfield role.
Barkley put in a man-of-the-match performance in England’s 2-0 qualifying win over Estonia at Wembley on Friday night, with Hodgson impressed by the way the 21-year-old adjusted to a slightly deeper role to the one he has been used in by his club.
Hodgson said after seeing Barkley deployed on the left side of midfield: “At Everton he plays as a deep-lying centre-forward or a number 10. He’s capable of doing that, but we think he’s got more strings to his bow. He should regard himself as a midfield player.
“If we decide not to play him as a number 10, because we have Raheem Sterling, Danny Welbeck and Theo Walcott in the team, it is important we don’t just dismiss him.
“We need to use him like we did against Estonia as one of midfielders playing to the left of James Milner in the centre. He did that well. He’s perfectly comfortable with that.
“He doesn’t feel he’s limited to a position. The more experience he gets in both positions will suit him going forward.”
Barkley started the season with goals in his first two games for the Toffees against Watford and Southampton, but he has since only found the net once since then, with that strike coming in a 2-1 win at Reading in the Capital One Cup.
He also scored his first goal in international football in September, finding the net in a 6-0 Euro 2016 qualifying win against San Marino.
