Man Utd Offered Kaka On Season Long Loan Deal

Real Madrid playmaker Kaka has reportedly been offered to Manchester United on a season-long loan deal.

Madrid are prepared to let Kaka leave the Bernabeu as they are not against getting his six-figure weekly wage off their books and are looking to make room in their squad for Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric.

Bookmakers had on Sunday slashed the odds about Kaka becoming a United player before the end of the month following an afternoon of speculation on social networking website Twitter suggesting a loan deal was on the cards.

According to the Daily Mail, the Brazil international has been offered to the Red Devils.

And according to Monday’s report, United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is giving “serious consideration” to signing the 30-year-old, but has fears about his form and fitness.

Bookmakers Sky Bet had reacted to the Twitter chatter on Sunday by slashing the odds on the former AC Milan star moving to Old Trafford before the end of the month from 6/1 down to 8/11, before cutting the odds further to just 1/2 after reporting a flurry of activity from customers.

On Sunday night, Kaka was just 1/5 to join United before the transfer window closes.

Ferguson last Friday completed the £24million signing of Robin van Persie and bringing in Kaka would see them having to pay another set of wages close to the £200,000 a week mark – figures that both the Dutchman and new team-mate Wayne Rooney command.

Until Sunday it had been thought that a return to former club Milan was his most likely option, although Galatasaray are also keen.

“It is possible that I could leave Madrid this summer. I don’t know yet,” Kaka told AS recently.

“If this was to be the case then I would want to play for another big European club and try to win titles again.”

United also look set to complete the surprise signing of Vitesse defender Alexander Buttner (see Related Articles).
