Pep Guardiola Cant Say If Fc Barcelona Or Real Madrid Cf Will Win La Liga

Published on

Former Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola believes it is too early to tell whether the Catalans or rivals Real Madrid will win La Liga this season.

Barcelona won their opening game of the 2012-13 Primera Liga campaign at the weekend, thrashing Real Sociedad 5-1 at Camp Nou.

The result gave Barca an early lead at the top of the table after Real Madrid were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Valencia.

Speaking to reporters in the New York, Guardiola said: “We have to wait at least 10 games before drawing any conclusions.

“Both Barca and Madrid have great squads.”

The Spaniard is currently living in the United States after leaving Barcelona at the end of last season to take a year-long break from football.

But Guardiola is still following the game and has hinted that he will make a return to management in the near future.

“I’m still watching the games. Once a coach, always a coach,” he added.

“This year, I hope to learn more about the American way of life.

“I hope to also improve my English and also that of my children. This is what I will be doing this year.”
