Pochettino’s move to Man Utd in doubt, Ten Haag fills the gap
Despite sitting pretty at the top of France’s Ligue 1 it’s widely expected that Mauricio Pochettino will be leaving PSG this summer. For any PSG boss, the ultimate aim is Champions League glory and PSG once again fell well short losing in the last sixteen to Real Madrid.
It has been made no secret that Manchester United have been long time suitors of Pochettino and it has been hotly rumoured for months that Pochettino could be the successor to replace Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.
However recent reports state that Pochettino is set to miss out on the Utd job and that Ajax boss Erik Ten Haag is on the brink of being appointed.
Whilst it would be a blow for Pochettino to miss out on the Manchester United role, the likelihood of the popular Argentine being out of work for long is small. Rumours are circling that Antonio Conte could well be in line to replace Pochettino at PSG.
If Conte were to depart Tottenham this summer then it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Pochettino return to the club he has openly admitted he still has a great love for.
