Diego Schwartzman Retirement Plans

Published on

Diego Schwartzman has revealed how he’d like to retire, stating that he doesn’t want to leave on the back of an injury or after falling down the rankings but rather on a high note when the time comes to hang up his racket.

The 29-year-old is still going strong, as he is presently ranked No. 15 globally. Earlier this year, he reached the final of the Argentina Open, the quarter-finals of the Monte Carlo Masters, and the semi-finals of the Barcelona Open.

Even if he isn’t in the mood to retire just yet, he is preparing for when the time comes. ‘With how I’ve been playing lately, hopefully I’ll be able to keep playing like this till I retire, ideally I’ll be able to retire competing at a top level, which has always been my dream.’
