Former UFC champ Junior Dos Santos headlines Eagle FC 47

Brazilian former UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos eyes a strong showing when he makes his Eagle FC debut on Friday against Yorgan De Castro in the FLX Arena in Miami.

The 38-year-old Dos Santos, who was released from the UFC in March 2021, is coming off four consecutive defeats while De Castro is looking for his third straight victory after his four-fight stint with the UFC concluded in 2021.

Earlier in January, De Castro displayed a strong performance in his debut with Eagle FC by submitting Shaun Asher in the opening round with a guillotine choke.

Besides Dos Santos, another Brazilian will also be on the cards as UFC veteran Thiago Silva battles the returning Hector Lombard, who recently fought in BKFC.

Also on the cards is former Ultimate Fighter winner Andrew Sanchez who will make his debut against top grappler Gabriel Checco. The 36-year-old Checco will be heading into the fight with a chip on his shoulder after losing to UFC Hall of Famer Rashad Evans last time out.
