Bologna To Host 2022 VNL Men’s Finals

The 2022 Volleyball Nations League Men’s Finals will be held at the UNIPOL Arena in Bologna, Italy from July 20th-24th.

A record eight teams will compete in this year’s finals. In total, 16 teams will participate in the 2022 VNL, including squads from Brazil, Argentina, and the United States. Qualifying rounds are set to begin in June, in venues spanning the globe from Quezon City, Philippines to Gdansk, Poland.

Last year’s finals saw Brazil win its first-ever title in a great comeback against rival Poland. A brilliant performance saw Wallace de Souza score 22 points as Brazil clawed back from a one-set deficit to defeat Poland 3-1.

Volleyball fans should also watch out for France, as they try to continue their magical run from last year’s Tokyo Olympics. The underdog France squad shocked the world by defeating the Russian Olympic Committee and claiming a gold medal. Prior to this win, France had never placed higher than eighth in any of its four previous appearances at the Summer Olympics.
