On Sunday, Brazil’s Barbara Seixas and Carol Soberg won their second Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Challenge event in Qatar.
The pair certainly kept things interesting during their time in Doha. They were forced to come from behind in their semifinal matchup against Australia’s Taliqua Clancy and Mariafe Artacho Del Solar, ultimately winning 17-21, 21-17, 15-11.
In the championship, Seixas and Soberg faced Germany’s Chantal Laboureur and Sarah Schulz, fresh off their own comeback win over a Swiss squad. The Brazilians were dominant in the final, crushing Laboureur and Schulz 21-13, 21-13.
“This challenge of being better every day is truly motivating us and this tournament in Doha was excellent in that regard,” said Seixas. “We’re very happy with what we’ve accomplished, but we always want more.”
The Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Challenge continues on May 19th in Kusadasi, Turkey. Unfortunately for fans of Seixas and Soberg, the pair are not scheduled to compete in Kusadasi.
