Andre and George top seeds for Beach Pro Tour event
The Brazilian team of Andre Loyola and George Wanderley have been named as the top seeds for the upcoming Beach Pro Tour challenge event in Itapema.
The tournament will be played at the Meia Praia Beach, which has staged international tournaments over recent years and has become a popular venue for the sport.
The event takes place between April 14-17 and will see some of the best men’s beach volleyball teams competing. There are 20 nations taking part which include Olympic champions and medalists.
Andre and George will go into the tournament as favorites and have a good recent history in Itapema, having clinched victory in the FIVB World Tour Event held in November 2021. That win was their first and only international victory as a pairing so they will be keen to replicate the success once more.
It is the second challenge event held this season, following on from the first tournament held in Tlaxcala, Mexico.
