Sada Cruzeiro defeated Sesi-SP in Game 1 of the 2021/22 Brazilian Men’s Volleyball Championship playoff semi-finals in a game full of twists and turns.
Cruzeiro had difficulty defeating Sesi in the first match of the 2021/22 Superliga playoff semi-finals. Cruzeiro took the first set 25-21, and at that point, it appeared that they would claim a comfortable win, but Sesi had other ideas as they tied the match at 1-1 after coming back from a 21-24 deficit. Cruzeiro then took the third, but Sesi came back to claim the fourth and tie the match at 2-2.
The biggest comeback came in the tie-break, where Cruzeiro trailed 1-6 but won the set 15-11 and the match. With 25 points, Cuban Miguel López led the victorious team. Victor Cardoso ‘Victor Birigui’ and Darlan Souza each scored 20 points, while Leonardo Andrade had six blocks.
