WWE Extreme Rules Odds Seth Rollins Favourite To Beat Randy Orton In Main Event

Published on

Seth Rollins makes the first defence of the WWE World Heavyweight title when he faces Randy Orton in the main event of Extreme Rules on Sunday, and bookmakers Paddy Power are predicting victory for the man who shocked the world at WrestleMania 31.

WWE fans will never forget the sensational end to WrestleMania 31 earlier this month, when Rollins became the first man to cash-in the “Money in the Bank” briefcase during the WWE’s premier event and left with the gold, beating Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns in an impromptu triple threat match.

Rollins now makes his first defence of the title against the man who had beaten him earlier in the night, Randy Orton, but Paddy Power are not expecting a repeat victory for “The Viper”.

Rollins is the 2/7 favourite for this contest in their WWE Extreme Rules Odds market, with Orton 9/4 to repeat his Mania victory.

John Cena defends the US title against Rusev on Sunday. The undercard also sees another rematch from WrestleMania as John Cena defends the United States Championship against the man he dethroned in Santa Clara, the “super-athlete” Rusev. Cena is expected to have a lengthy reign as the WWE look to re-establish this secondary title and therefore it is no surprise to see Paddy making him the 1/6 favourite, with Rusev 7/2 to regain the belt in this “Russian Chain” match.

Daniel Bryan’s health remains the subject of much speculation after he was removed from the final dates of the WWE’s European Tour, and for that reason the bookmakers are holding off on revealing odds for his scheduled Intercontinental title defence against Bad News Barrett. However, there will be definitely be another title match on the main card with Divas champion Nikki Bella the 4/7 favourite for her showdown with Naomi, who is a 5/4 shot.

Elsewhere on the card, Roman Reigns is a clear 1/7 favourite as he takes on The Big Show (4/1) in a “Last Man Standing” match, while Dean Ambrose is 1/2 to beat Luke Harper (6/4) in a “Chicago Street Fight”. And finally, the returning Sheamus is the 2/5 favourite for his one-on-one match against Dolph Ziggler (7/4).
