Vettel says fit to race in Australia after Covid suspension

Sebastian Vettel will take part in next week’s race for Aston Martin in Australia after missing the season’s first two grand prix under new regulations, Formula One announced on Thursday.

His compatriot Nico Hülkenberg has represented the four-time World Champion at the opener at Bahrain and last weekend in Saudi Arabia along with Lance Stroll of Canada.

Aston Martin is yet to score in 2022 while Williams are the only other team to fail to score in the two races

‘We are pleased to confirm that Sebastian Vettel is now fit to race and will therefore line up alongside @lance_stroll in Melbourne to kick off his 2022 @F1 season,’ Aston Martin announced on Twitter.
