All is set for the final instalment of the FTX MLB Home Run Derby X (HRDX) Tour as some of the world’s top baseball squads battle it out at Campo Marte this October 15.
Leading the list of competitors are the Boston Red Sox, the New York Yankees, Chicago Cubs, and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Each team will consist of four members that include a wild card, a rookie from England’s development system, a superstar from women’s baseball or softball, and an MLB legend.
“I’m really excited to hit again, to show the fans that I can still hit the ball hard,” said 2013 World Series champion Jonny Gomes who will be a part of the Red Sox team.
Gomes will be joined by Paige Halstead, Liv Cooke, and rookie Kennard Dawson on the squad. They will go up against the star-studded Cubs lineup of Geo Soto, Spencer Owen, Alex Hugo, and Jordan Edmonds.
Also competing in the event are Adrian Gonzalez, Ashton Lansdell, Yoongy Kwak, and Zach Stroman of the Dodgers as well as Nick Swisher, Erika Piancastelli, Stefania Aradillas, Daniel Corral, and Richard Brereton of the Yankees.
The FTX HRDX Tour will make its first stop in London this July 9 at Crystal Palace Park before heading to Seoul on September 17 and closing the event in Mexico.
