Nicolas Laprovittola tops the weekly Argentinian rankings

Nicolas Laprovittola tops the Argentinian rankings

The 32-year-old point guard for FC Barcelona won the prize for the best performing Argentinian abroad in last week’s games. He was the essence of his team’s vital victory in the deciding Game against Bayern Munchen in the Euroleague’s Quarter-Finals. Laprovittola helped Barcelona avoid a huge upset after dropping 26 points on a 5-7 shooting from beyond the arc. He was also merciless from the free-throw line as he netted in all 7 attempts. The effective point guard played with the San Antonio Spurs back in 2016, but he then decided to switch back to Europe as he was not getting enough playing time in the NBA.

The second place goes to Gabriel Deck, who currently plays for Barcelona’s biggest rivals, Real Madrid. The former international forward helped his team overcome the 14th-placed Obradoiro, thus helping his team stay close to the top spot with a 23-9 record. The third-place goes in the direction of Nicolas Brussino, who came up clutch for his Gran Canaria in a tough battle against one of the toughest teams in the ACB, Valencia. His defensive efforts were efficient enough for the final win, 89-83, thus helping his team stay in the top 8 with 17 wins and 15 losses.
