The Suns still looking solid

Suns beat Mavs in the first game of series

The Phoenix Suns are still going strong as last night they picked up the first win against Dallas in the first game of the series. The Suns have been on fire in the past two seasons and this doesn’t look it is going to end anytime soon. As they were the runnerups in the Finals last year it seems that the Suns are determined to be back once again in the Finals to claim in what their eyes is rightly theirs.

Led by young hotshot Devin Booker the Suns beat the Dallas Mavericks 121-114, Booker scored 23 points and only shot ⅕ from the three but despite his poor performance from beyond the arch still had an incredibly impressive game.

This isn’t to say that Dallas didn’t give it their all with their team’s captain Luka Dončić showing how skilled the Slovenian born player is. Dončić finished the game with an amazing 45 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists but despite this spectacular performance could not clinch the Phoenix squad. Dončić seems to be in a league of his own on the Maverick’s team as no one on the roster can match the sheer skill that Luka possesses. Many fans do not think that Dončić will be able to hold out against the Suns as the Suns as an entire unit is well oiled and eager to get back into that championship spot.
