Trail Blazers continue pushing for OG Anunoby

The Portland Trail Blazers are still looking for their second NBA Championship. The team missed their chances with Clyde Drexler and Terry Porter back in the day, and it is now on the verge of wasting yet another decent opportunity with Damian Lillard. The 31-year-old point guard has been part of the Blazers for 10 years already helping them reach the Western Conference Finals in 2019. Even though they had two fantastic rosters in that period, they never got the chance to fight for the title.

The management made a lot of mistakes throughout the past years trading their First Round Draft Picks for some overhyped mediocre players. They now set their eyes on OG Anunoby who missed a large portion of the 2021/22 NBA season due to an injury. However, he eventually ended up averaging 17.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.6 assists. The 24-year-old Brit improved his efficiency rating from 12.4 to 14.8 throughout the last campaign. Anunoby feels like a great fit next to Lillard on the court as he has proven his ability to take on more than one player at a time which will open some free spaces for the 6-time All-Star player.
