Núñez, Fierro put unbeaten records on the line

Dominican boxing sensation Luis “The Twist” Núñez and top Mexican prospect Jonathan Fierro will put their unbeaten records on the line when they battle in this Saturday’s Premier Boxing Champions event in Glendale, Arizona.

The Núñez-Fierro featherweight bout is scheduled for 10 rounds and is among the undercards of the David Benavidez-David Lemieux main card.

Fierro, who holds an impressive 13-0 (win-loss) record with 12 knockouts, believes he can hand Núñez’s first professional loss this weekend.

The Mexican gladiator has been a juggernaut as of late, winning his first 12 via stoppage before scoring a lopsided decision victory in April 2021.

Núñez, on the other hand, is also as impressive as Fierro, boasting a record of 16-0 with 12 knockouts. He is coming off a 10th-round stoppage of Carlos Arrieta and hopes to make the most out of his opportunity to fight on the big stage.

“Not many fighters get the opportunities that have been given to me. I feel blessed and grateful to be in this position. It was a great honor to fight on SHOWTIME in my last fight and I’m thankful to my whole team for being put on this platform. Núñez commented.
