Brazilian game developer AQUIRIS partners with Epic Games

AQUIRIS has announced that it will be receiving an investment from Epic Games. The Brazilian game developer AQUIRIS has confirmed that it will be entering into a publishing agreement with Epic Games to build multiplatform games. 

Epic Games has worked on major esports titles such as Fortnite, Unreal Tournament, and Rocket League. It has also developed the Unreal Engine, the world’s most advanced real-time 3D creation tool. Hector Sanchez, the Head of Epic Games third-party publishing, will be joining AQUIRIS’s board of directors. 

Headquartered in Porto Alegre, Brazil, AQUIRIS was founded in 2007. With a staff of over 100 people, AQUIRIS has built breathtaking games that include Looney Tunes: World of Mayhem, Horizon Chase Turbo, Cartoon Network: Superstar Soccer Goal, and Wonderbox: The Adventure Maker. 

Mauricio Longoni, the CEO of AQUIRIS, said: “We are thrilled to partner with Epic Games. It’s a strong endorsement of what AQUIRIS has built so far, and we can’t wait to show the world what we are working on together. Epic Games’ publishing power and close collaboration with us on tech, business intelligence, and product development will help us boost the quality and the reach of our titles”.
