French guard Edwin Jackson has signed with FC Barcelona ahead of the Euroleague Top 16.
The 25-year-old started the 2014-15 season with French club ASVEL Lyon Villeurbanne.
Jackson averaged 14.1 points and 3.2 assists in nine Eurocup games this season and led the French Pro A in scoring with 18.4 points per game.
Jackson, who helped France win the bronze medal in this year’s FIBA World Cup in Spain, was signed a week after Brad Oleson went down with an ankle injury that will sideline him for at least a month.
Jackson will play overseas for the first time in his career. Aside from ASVEL, he also had stints with JSF Nanterre and SPO Rouen Basket.
The Frenchman also played for the Boston Celtics in the 2014 NBA Summer League.

Harry James' love for sports began in his high school basketball days. Sadly, an injury meant he couldn't further his NBA dreams, but the hooper's loss is our gain as he then found journalism.
