Gabriel Jesus marks his first Arsenal appearance with two goals

It may only be pre-season, but Arsenal fans are getting excited following Gabriel Jesus’ exciting debut for the club.

Jesus helped change the game with two second-half goals which saw Arsenal beat Nurnberg 5-3.

Trailing 2-0 at halftime, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta bought on his new Brazilian star and it only took two minutes for him to make his mark. He rounded off the scoring with a well-taken finish in the 75th minute.

It was a lack of goal scoring that saw Arsenal lose out on Champions League football last season, and fans of the club will be hoping that Jesus can fire them back into the top four when the new season starts.

Jesus currently finds himself out of the Brazilian starting lineup, and with the World Cup just four months away he will be hoping to get off to a quick start to the season.

It will be a fascinating battle to see who leads Brazil’s line at the World Cup as the current incumbent of the Brazilian number 9 shirt, Richarlison, has just signed for bitter North London rivals Tottenham.
