Leeds close to Sinisterra signing

Fans of Leeds would have been left heartbroken after the departure of home hero Kalvin Phillips to Manchester City. Leeds are also resigned to the departure of Raphinha who is holding out for a move to Barcelona.

With more than £100 million to fill the Elland Road coffers, new Leeds boss Jessie Marsch is having to rebuild his side and a potential replacement for Raphinha is Feyenoord winger Luis Sinisterra.

Sinisterra is just 23 and has 5 Colombian caps to his name. The Colombian was the top scorer for the Dutch side last season, finding the back of the net a total of 23 times with 11 of these coming in the Europa Conference League.

Many of the Premier League’s biggest clubs including Arsenal, Tottenham and Everton have all been linked with the Colombian but it’s Leeds who reportedly have the edge.

It’s believed that the Yorkshire based side will need to part with at least €30 million to capture their man, but this should be a fee the club can meet due to all their recent outgoings.

The expectation is that Leeds will firmly find themselves in a relegation battle this season which has only been compounded due to the loss of both Raphinha and Phillips.

Leeds will need a spark and Marsch will be sincerely hoping that Sinisterra can be the man to provide it.
