Manchester United linked to Leandro Paredes

Manchester United linked to Leandro Paredes

It’s been a frustrating summer for Manchester United. All of their rivals have strengthened whilst they have become embroiled in a transfer saga with Frenkie De Jong.

With the De Jong deal in doubt, it looks like Erik Ten Haag is turning his attention to new targets.

One such target is PSG midfielder Leandro Paredes.

Since his move to PSG from the Russian side Zenit, Paredes has been a peripheral figure but did enjoy a significant increase in game time under former boss Mauricio Pochettino.

With the removal of Pochettino from his managerial post, it’s believed that Paredes could be made available for a transfer by the PSG hierarchy.

It’s unknown whether Paredes has any desire to swap Paris for Manchester, but it’s believed it would only cost Utd around £30 million to secure his signature.

Following the departures of Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba, Juan Mata, Andres Pereira and Jesse Lingard – Utd are in desperate need of midfield reinforcements.

It’s believed that Christian Eriksen will join over the next few weeks but Utd would desperately love for Paredes to join him.
