Kyle Larson is the big favorite to win in Darlington

The 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion, Kyle Larson, is once again the favorite to win a race this season. He is now with the best odds to take home the 2022 Goodyear 400 in Darlington. Larson finished on the podium on each one of the last three occasions on this track which suggests his preferences for this egg-shaped oval race.

The current leader in the championship, Chase Elliott, has been quite consistent from the beginning of the season which automatically makes him a big threat to the competition. Martin Truex Jr. and Denny Hamlin are the other drivers who are expected to come up huge over the weekend. Both of them have two straight top 5 finishes in Darlington, but Hamlin can feel more at home following his win in September.

The closest drivers to Chase Elliott in the championship, Ryan Blaney and Kyle Busch, also have decent chances to drink from the champagne in the end. Blaney is one of the most consistent pilots this season, despite not having a podium yet. However, his current form suggests that these achievements would come sooner rather than later.
