F1 champion, Kimi Raikonnen, to make NASCAR debut

The 2007 F1 World Champion, Kimi Raikonnen, is set to make his official debut in NASCAR for PROJECT91 under the Trackhouse brand. The Finnish race car driver was part of the most renowned international driving competitions for 18 years, winning a total of 21 Grand Prix. The 42-year-old athlete has started his career with Sauber before making a move to McLaren and Ferrari, where he won his one and only championship in 2007. This also marks the last time this legendary has ever won the overall title in F1. Raikonnen finished his career with spells in Lotus and Alfa Romeo.

The Finnish is set to make his NASCAR debut at Watkins Glen International on August 21, 2022. He will drive the No.91 Chevrolet Camaro, which was solely designed and developed to serve as the car for the biggest international stars. Despite his difficult character, Raikonnen has always been loved by the F1 neutral fans. This will most likely be the case with a potential NASCAR career as he is looking forward to trying the best out of Justin Marks’ top-notch program as an owner of the Trackhouse Racing team.
