William Byron extends his contract in NASCAR

William Byron has just signed a new deal with Hendrick Motorsports, renewing his contract for another 3 years. The 24-year-old prospect has been part of one of the most notorious teams in NASCAR history ever since his debut in 2018. The driver himself adapted pretty quickly to the intensity in NASCAR, as it took him just two and a half years before snatching his maiden victory in the 2020 Coke Zero Sugar 400.

Following his 10th place last season, William Byron is undoubtedly looking to improve on that as he has already picked up two victories this year. His third place in the overall standings further supports Hendrick Motorsports’ decision to propose him a new contract. His best performance came last year when he ended up in 10th place, dropping out early in the Playoffs.

William Byron will drive the No.24 Chevrolet until the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season. The 24-year-old driver from Charlotte, North Carolina, is considered one of the big names for the upcoming years in stock car racing as many experts predict that he will win the title at least once throughout his promising career.
