Crunch Sports Staff – 15 Jun 2021Bynum played in game 5 and he was ineffective – a fact that does not bode well for the Lakers heading back to the Staples Center.
The Boston Celtics took down game 5 of the 2010 NBA Finals and in doing so they have given themselves two chances to win the 2010 NBA Championship. It still will not be easy as both games 6 and 7 will be played at the Staples Center in Los Angeles in a Tuesday night game at 9pm ET.
Pinnacle Sports have opened their betting lines and they have put the spread in game 6 at -6.5 in the Lakers favor at odds of -106. Boston come in at +6.5 with odds of -102.
The story surrounding game 5 was whether or not Andrew Bynum would log big minutes with his knee problem. He did play a ton, 32 minutes in fact, but unfortunately for the Lakers Bynum was very ineffective.
He scored just 6 points, had no blocked shots, and grabbed just 1 rebound in all of that playing time as he went -12 in terms of net points, the worst of all players as Boston covered the spread for the second straight game.
Now the Lakers are coming in at -6.5 for game 6 just because they are going to be on their home court? Leading the series 3-2 there is blood in the water and the Celtics can go for the kill. Besides that the last time a game was played in Los Angeles Boston “beat LA” by 9. Ray Allen’s fluky streak had a lot to do with that but there’s still no way Boston can be considered +6.5 underdogs in game 6.
Boston have a good chance of winning so picking them to cover a +6.5 spread at odds of -102 definitely looks like a valuable bet to make.
