Argentina hotshot Franco Carboni wants to create Inter Milan legacy

Youngster Franco Carboni wants Inter legacy

Argentina are at a crossroads. The upcoming World Cup will be the last for the likes of Lionel Messi and Angel Di Maria and boss Lionel Scaloni already has one eye on the future.

In his latest squad, Scaloni called up several promising young players. One such player was Inter fullback Franco Carboni.

Carboni at just 19 was a controversial selection as he has yet to make a first-team appearance for Inter this season and has represented Italy at the youth team level.

For Carboni, who was born in Buenos Aries there was no conflict of interest as he was delighted to have the opportunity to represent the land of his birth.

Carboni has made the first-team bench on several occasions this season and made a few first-team appearances under ex-boss Antonio Conte.

Carboni was highly scouted as a teenager with interest from clubs across Europe. For Carboni the choice was always Inter. Carboni has admitted that Inter legend Javier Zanetti is his idol. Following his international call up Carboni will be hoping that he can start on his path of emulating his hero.
