Top of the table Maldonado look to maintain their winning run

Maldonado visit Montevideo Wanderers

Deportivo Maldonado will look to maintain their unbeaten run as they visit Montevideo Wanderers on Monday, April 11.

The leader of the Uruguayan First Division will look to extend their five-game unbeaten streak, facing Wanderers in round eight of the Apertura.

In their last match, the ‘Rojiverde’ proved to be a true contender for the title when they turned the match with ten men against City Torque.

Wanderers haven’t won for three games, but are the only team in the league who haven’t lost this season. This form means they are only three points behind Maldonado in fourth. A win for Wanderer’s would boost their own hopes of being title contenders.
Boston River and Liverpool are also waiting for Maldonado to stumble. Boston will host Nacional, who arrive with some injuries following their Libertadores loss against Brazil’s Bragantino.

Liverpool will visit Peñarol’s stadium. The ‘Carbonero’ also lost their Libertadores match against Colón of Argentina and will want a league victory to stay alive in the fight for the championship.
