Chelsea Fc Want Real Value As Cavani Hulk Azpilicueta Linked With Cfc

Chelsea FC linked with Cavani, Hulk, Azpilicueta as CFC eye ‘real value’

Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo is ready to continue his summer spending as he continues to be linked with the likes of Edinson Cavani and Hulk, but insists he will not pay over the odds for new players. Chelsea have already spent over £65million this summer on the likes of Oscar, Eden and Thorgan Hazard, and Marko Marin, but are known to be keen on bringing in a striker to replace Didier Drogba, who left the club at the end of last season. In addition, the Blues want to add Marseille defender Cesar Azpilicueta to their ranks this month, while Wigan winger Victor Moses is also on Di Matteo’s shopping list. Bookmakers make Chelsea favourites in the race to sign Cavani and Hulk, although it is believed the west London outfit are only looking at bringing in one new forward, while a report on Friday claimed Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez was also a possible target following Robin van Persie’s arrival at Old Trafford (see Related Articles). But while the speculation continues about who will be Chelsea’s next big money signing, Di Matteo insists he wants value for money. “We’re not going to pay over the top,” the Italian said. “What we think is the real value for a player, we have paid.” Chelsea take on Wigan on Sunday in their opening game of the season in the Premier League, and of Moses he said: “We’ve played against him before. We know very well what ability he has. “He’s a young, talented guy…that plays for Wigan.” According to reports in Italy, Chelsea have already held talks with Napoli about Uruguay striker Cavani. According to Sportmediaset, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is ready to sell the forward for around €40m, but Chelsea are thought to be prepared to €30m for the 25-year-old, who has also been linked with Premier League champions and Manchester City and Italian champions Juventus. A fee is yet to be agreed however, which is a similar case with Chelsea’s pursuit of Brazilian striker Hulk, who Porto insist will not be allowed to leave for less than €40m. Cavani has previously admitted he is interested in playing in the Premiership
