Chelsea Fc Yet To Agree Fee For Cesar Azpilicueta

Chelsea FC and Marseille yet to agree Cesar Azpilicueta fee – report

Chelsea are reportedly yet to agree a fee with Marseille for defender Cesar Azpilicueta. Azpilicueta is Chelsea’s top defensive transfer target as manager Roberto Di Matteo looks to replace Jose Bosingwa, who left the club at the end of last season, and Marseille have already admitted he is available for sale. It had been reported in the last 48 hours that the Blues were confident of completing a deal for the 22-year-old after Marseille president Vincent Labrune this past week invited them to make a “fair offer” for the right-back. But according to French newspaper La Provence, Chelsea’s offer is worth an inital €4million plus a further €3m in add-ons. Marseille are believed to be wanting a minimum €8m for the Spaniard. Azpilicueta is keen on making the move to Stamford Bridge and his representatives are believed to have travelled to London in the past few days to discuss personal terms. “For the next three weeks, our goal is clear: we have to sell players,” Labrune told France Football earlier this week. “We have three players who have agreed to go. Cesar Azpilicueta, Stephane Mbia and either Loic Remy or Andre Ayew.” And he added: “If Chelsea make a fair offer for Azpi, we’ll let him go.” Tags
