Joelinton turns heads with latest star performance

Joelinton stars again

Joelinton for the majority of his three seasons at Newcastle represented everything that was wrong with previous owner Mike Ashley’s regime. Ashley was often lambasted for not spending and when he did, Newcastle often got it spectacularly wrong!

Joelinton who cost the Tyneside club a reported £40 million, has struggled in the famous black and white shirt, but something has clicked this year.

Originally bought as an out and out centre forward, Joelinton this season has shifted out to the flanks. Despite not finding the back of the net as often as he would like, Joelinton’s work rate and general link-up play have won plaudits all over the country.

A favorite for Newcastle boss Eddie Howe, Joelinton has barely missed a start this year. He capped off what has been his best season by far in the Premier League with two well-taken goals against Norwich in the Toons’ 3-0 victory.

Joelinton’s impressive performances this season could have come just in the nick of time. With the World Cup later this year many believe that he has an outside shot of working his way into the Brazil squad.

Joelinton is yet to be capped for his country and it will be interesting to see if he makes the Brazil squad for their upcoming fixtures this summer.
