Liverpool Fc Want Burak Yilmaz In 14million Deal

Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing Galatasaray striker Burak Yilmaz.

The 27-year-old was linked with a move to the Premier League earlier this year, with Arsenal showing interest in the Turkey international.

Last season, Yilmaz admitted that a move to England appealed to him, but during the summer joined Galatasaray from Trabzonspor in a deal worth around £4million.

Although the forward signed a four-year deal with the Turkish giants with an option for a fifth year, according to the Daily Star, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers will look to lure Yilmaz to Merseyside during the January transfer window.

Rodgers is short on options in attack after failing to bring in any of his transfer targets at the end of August and has been left with just Luis Suarez and Fabio Borini to rely on up front.

And Rodgers was dealt a blow on Friday by the news that Borini has suffered an injury while on international duty (see Related Articles).

According to Friday’s report, the Reds boss is ready to pay up to £14million to land Yilmaz, and will offer him a £35,000-a-week deal to cut short his spell with Galatasaray.
