Man Utd Interested In Re Signing Cristiano Ronaldo From Real Madrid Cf

Manchester United are reportedly ready to try and lure Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford should the forward indicate he is ready to quit Real Madrid.
Reports in Spain last week had suggested Ronaldo was considering submitting a transfer request at the Bernabeu after he had stated that he was “sad because of a professional issue” at the club.
The 27-year-old, who left United three years ago to join Madrid in a world-record £80million deal, scored twice in his side’s recent 3-0 win over Granada in La Liga and refused to celebrate his goals.
In recent days, Ronaldo has been linked with Chelsea, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain, but according to the Sunday Mirror, United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to ask his employers to bankroll a move for the Portugal international if he is serious about leaving the Spanish giants.
Ronaldo is still yet to reveal what the issue is, but he insists it is not a financial one, despite reports in Spain suggesting he is wanting a new deal worth as much as £25m a year.
According to Sunday’s report, sources close to the player believe he has been hurt by a lack of respect from team-mates.
Real Madrid chairman Florentino Perez this past week dismissed claims that Ronaldo wants to leave Los Blancos, although the player is yet to confirm wants to stay in the Spanish capital.
Ronaldo this past week wrote on his Twitter page: “That I am feeling sad and have expressed this sadness has created a huge stir.
“I am accused of wanting more money, but one day it will be shown that this is not the case.”
And as speculation continues about the cause of his issues, Ronaldo tweeted: “At this point, I just want to guarantee to the Real Madrid fans that my motivation, dedication, commitment and desire to win all competitions will not be affected.
“I have too much respect for myself and for Real Madrid to ever give less to the club than all I am capable of. Hugs to all madridistas.”
