Man Utd Made 30million Bid For Arsenal Fc Target Robert Lewandowski

Manchester United reportedly made a €30million bid for Robert Lewandowski, who Borussia Dortmund have confirmed has been the subject of “several” enquiries.

Lewandowski is known to be keen on moving to the Premier League, and one of his representatives recently claimed that offers have been received from several English clubs.

The 24-year-old has been linked with Arsenal and Chelsea over the summer and recently confirmed he was looking to secure a move to England.

And according to Bild, Man Utd recently tried to sign the Poland international, before turning their attention to Robin van Persie after failing with a €30m (£24million) bid.

Van Persie joined the Red Devils from Arsenal last week for a similar fee.

Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc told the German newspaper: “There have been enquiries from several clubs.

“Our position has not changed since March, Lewandowski still plays at Dortmund.”

Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke said: “There were other clubs interested in him.

“I am repeating myself but Lewandowski will play next season for Dortmund.”

Earlier this summer, Franciszek Smuda, who stepped down as the coach of Poland’s national side following the European Championships, had stated he believed Lewandowski was close to joining Sir Alex Ferguson’s side.
