Wednesday’s round up of the top transfer stories from the past 24 hours…

– Fernando Llorente, who has been linked with a number of clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City, could be on his way to the Premier League, according to his agent, with Arino Bajo telling the Daily Telegraph: “It is very, very possible he will decide to go to the Premier League.

“I don’t know the [choice of] club at the moment but there are two [interested] clubs. One is in London, and one is in Manchester.”

– Liverpool are ready to step up their interest in Adam Johnson, who looks set to leave Manchester City this month, while according to BBC Sport, new Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas is also interested in signing the winger.

– Anderlecht midfielder Lucas Biglia has been offered to Arsenal, according to Metro.

– Ibrahim Afellay, who has been linked with Arsenal and Liverpool, has been told he can leave Barcelona this month, according to Voetbal International.

– Chelsea look set to finally complete the signing of Cesar Azpilicueta after the defender said goodbye to Marseille’s fans.

– Liverpool are set for crunch talks with Andy Carroll this week, with Tottenham showing interest in the club’s record signing, according to the Daily Mirror.

Chelsea could sign Bayer Leverkusen forward Andre Schurrle NEXT summer, according to the Daily Mail.

– Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez, who has been linked with Chelsea, has no intention of quitting the club, according to his father.

– Manchester United scout Ed van Stijn has revealed that new signing Alexander Buttner wasn’t anywhere near the top of his recommendations.
