Sir Alex Ferguson glad he sold Ravel Morrison but wants Paul Pogba to stay

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson insists he wants to keep Paul Pogba at the club – but has revealed he was glad to sell Ravel Morrison.

United sold Morrison to West Ham in January, with Ferguson thought to have lost patience with the teenager as a result of continued questions about his discipline.

But Ferguson is keen to keep hold of 18-year-old Pogba, who has been linked with a move to Juventus.

“We wanted to sell Morrison, let’s be clear about that, for obvious reasons,” said the Scot.

“But we want Pogba to stay because we think he’s going to be a fantastic Manchester United player and hopefully that’s the case.”

Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City are also believed to be showing interest in Pogba, who is set to feature again for the Red Devils against Fulham on Monday night.
