Southampton vs. Liverpool takes place tonight in the Capital One Cup.
The game, which takes place at St Mary’s, is scheduled to kick off at 19:45 GMT and airs live in the United Kingdom on Sky Sports 1/Sky Sports 1 HD, while outside of the UK, you can watch and bet on live League Cup football with 365.
Speaking ahead of the game, Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has confirmed Daniel Sturridge and Jordan Henderson will both be in his squad to face Southampton.
However, neither player is likely to start the game.
The England duo recently returned to action after injury problems, but are set to have to settle for places on the bench against the Saints, while Philippe Coutinho (hamstring) will also be given a late fitness test.
Being wary of the possibility of more than 90 minutes being needed in the tie at St Mary’s, Klopp told reporters: “We can’t ignore that there could be extra-time. 120 minutes would be too much.
“Henderson and Sturridge will be in the squad. We have these two options.”
Meanwhile, Liverpool midfielder James Milner has urged his side to make the most of an opportunity to win some silverware by going all the way in the Capital One Cup.
Milner who won the competition two seasons ago while with Manchester City, said: “It is a great chance of a trophy. The League Cup gets some bad press at times, but if you ask fans they would take a League Cup this season.
“We are one game away from semi-finals and then a shot at Wembley. I have been lucky enough to win it and hopefully I can win it again.
“It is the first competition you can win this season and no-one will be complaining if we are sat there in February or March with a trophy in the cabinet with plenty more games to go.”
