With just a few weeks to go before the official start of pre-season, one player widely expected to be on the move is Richarlison.
Despite Everton’s brush with relegation, Richarlison was a vital reason why the Toffees maintained their Premier League status.
A regular for Brazil and a lock to make Brazil’s upcoming World Cup squad it’s widely expected that Richarlison will be on the move this summer and a host of clubs reportedly hold an interest.
Richarlison is wanting to play Champions League football something which Everton can’t offer. Everton are also in a tricky financial position with it widely expected that they will need to make sales in order to keep the books balanced. Richarlison is Everton’s crown jewel and it’s the rather than Dominic Calvert Lewin that is expected to return a handsome fee.
With the Everton board reportedly holding out for an offer of well over £50 million, it remains to be seen whether that price tag puts potential suitors off.
With the increase of substitutions from three to five coming into effect next season, the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham all reportedly see the Brazilian as a viable option for their squads.
It will be interesting to see who makes the first step.
