When does the summer transfer window close 2015?

The summer transfer window 2015 closes this evening (September 1st) at 18:00 BST.

Traditionally, clubs have until August 31st to buy and sell players during the summer, but if that doesn’t fall on a working day, the deadline moves to the nearest following date.

Therefore, as Monday, August 31st is a Bank Holiday, the summer transfer window will close on Tuesday, September 1st at 18:00 BST – a change from last year’s 23:00 BST.

At time of writing, the biggest British signing of the window so far is Kevin de Bruyne, who recently joined Manchester City from Wolfsburg for a fee of around £55million.

The summer transfer window closed in a number of countries across Europe on Monday night, with clubs in France, Germany, Spain now having to wait until January 1st before adding to their squads.
