Daily Telegraph: David Moyes is talking about the tolerance level needed to be a football manager. “You have to take your poison,” he explains. “So whatever poison it is you will have a different level. I had a very good level at Everton. Some clubs you go to you have to take a bigger dose of it.”   Also: Chelsea have attempted to smooth their bid to sign John Stones by holding talks with Everton about how the two clubs can avoid any more mud-slinging over the central defender.   And: Sunderland striker Connor Wickham is set to sign for Crystal Palace after the London club agreed a fee of more than £8m for the England Under-21 international.


The Guardian: John Terry has said it took him only 120 seconds to decide his new Chelsea team-mate Radamel Falcao could succeed in the Premier League.   Also: Richard Scudamore, the Premier League chief executive, has ruled out moving fixtures to give clubs more time to prepare for Champions League games.


The Independent: Mario Balotelli has been told he has no future with Liverpool and the striker is training away from the first-team squad along with Fabio Borini and Jose Enrique, whom the club are also looking to offload this summer.
