Champions League – VfL Wolfsburg vs. Manchester United kick-off time

Wolfsburg vs. Man Utd takes place tonight in the Champions League.

The game, which takes place at the Volkswagen Arena, is scheduled to kick off at 19:45 GMT and airs live in the United Kingdom on BT Sport Europe/BT Sport Europe HD.

Speaking ahead of the game, Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has said he believes the current Red Devils side is good enough to win some silverware in the next few seasons.

The 31-year-old Germany international has failed to produce his best form on a regular basis this term following his summer arrival from Bayern Munich, while United have been criticised for their insipid displays.

“I feel very good at the moment,” Schweinsteiger said.

“We have experience in the team and we have young players with quality in the team, so if we do our job well in the group then I think we can achieve a lot.

“I want to win titles and I think Manchester United are also used to winning titles, so that is definitely my goal.

“But for those types of moments, we all have to work very hard together and always try to improve ourselves. Hopefully we will get there.”

Meanwhile, United will be without Wayne Rooney and Morgan Schneiderlin for the vital match against Wolfsburg.

Louis van Gaal has taken 19 players to Germany for the game but captain Rooney is absent after missing Saturday’s goalless draw against West Ham United with an ankle injury, while Schneiderlin sustained a hip problem against the Hammers.

Marcos Rojo, Ander Herrera, Phil Jones, Luke Shaw and Antonio Valencia remain in the treatment room, but Paddy McNair is named in the squad despite picking up an ankle injury at the weekend.

Nick Powell is also included for the first time since recovering from a long-term hamstring injury.
