Nadal’s price remains unchanged after first round win.

The 2010 French Open is heading into second round action on day 4 as both Roger Federer and Andy Murray are scheduled to see action.  They are both among the favorites to win at Roland Garros as we update the futures market for the outright winner in men’s singles.

1.  Rafael Nadal, -250 (2/5), Bodog
2.  Roger Federer, +400 (4/1), Extrabet
3.  Novak Djokovic, +2200 (22/1), Boylesports
4.  David Ferrer, +3300 (33/1), Sportingbet

5.  Andrew Murray, +5000 (50/1), Sportingbet
6.  Fernando Verdasco, +5000 (50/1), Sportingbet
7.  Robin Soderling, +6600 (66/1), Sportingbet
8.  Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, +12500 (125/1), Boylesports

This market has not undergone substantial change at the top as Rafael Nadal’s price and Roger Federer’s price both remain at about what they were pre-tournament.

The only major change is that Ernests Gulbis, who was a 4th favorite pre-tournament, has been eliminated.

Without solid clay courters Nikolay Davydenko and Juan Martin Del Potro in the draw, there is a huge dropoff in price after second favorite Roger Federer.

Andy Murray can be found priced with reputable sites like bet365 as short as +2000 (20/1) and that implies that the Sportingbet price on him of +5000 (50/1) has significant value.

Paddy Power have priced an Andy Murray vs Rafael Nadal final at +1400 (14/1) and that is a good line for those that think that Murray can beat Federer in a semifinal match but are skeptical about the Scot can beating Nadal in a final.
