Rafael Nadal Now Outright Favorite For The 2010 Us Open

Nadal’s price has shortened despite most of the key players being idle on the ATP tour.

Betting on the 2010 US Open appears to be picking up as Victor Chandler have slashed their odds on Rafael Nadal to win the Slam from +300 (3/1) from earlier today to +250 (5/2).

The change in price means that Nadal’s best price is now +275 (11/4), odds that are available with Bodog and bet365 among others, and he is now the outright favorite after being co-favorite alongside Roger Federer for many weeks.

If Nadal suffers upsets during the hard court season leading up to the US Open then his price can be expected to lengthen however Nadal backers that want to guarantee that they get something decent on Rafa should be taking +275 (11/4) now in case the other sportsbooks follow suit and Nadal’s odds continue to shorten.  The world number 1 has never won the US Open so you do not want to be backing him at +225 or something skimpy – make sure you are one of the punters that gets Rafa at longer odds than that.
