Roger Federer Vs Nicolas Lapentti Miami Masters Odds

Roger Federer vs Nicolas Lapentti Betting Tips

Federer should cruise through his first match in Miami.

Roger Federer and Nicolas Lapentti are scheduled to go head to head on Saturday at the Miami Masters event on the ATP tour.  This is Federer’s first match since suffering a set back to Marcos Baghdatis in Indian Wells earlier in March.

Federer has come in as a huge favorite in this match as no sportsbook appears to want any money on him.  His odds are hardly worth mentioning however bet365 has Fed priced at -10000 (1/100), odds that have no value.

Lapentti’s best price is with Ladbrokes at the moment as they have him priced at +1600 (16/1) to win straight up.  It is really hard to find the courage to take that price as Lapentti, ranked 102nd at the moment, is 0-3 against Federer in their career matches and 0-6 in sets played.

Lapentti is 33 years old and he looks ready to fall off of the face of the Earth on tour.  He had not won a match in 2010 prior to the Miami Masters and his ranking is likely to drift out to outer space soon.

There is no way that Federer is going to lose this match and it would be shocking if he were to lose a set.  The only betting line that is conceivably valuable here is if you bet Federer with Stan James at -800 (1/8) to win in precisely straight sets.

As a sidenote, Stan James also have Federer priced at +250 (5/2) to win the French Open, odds that have be deemed more valuable than Rafael Nadal’s odds of -125 (4/5).  Those looking to back Fed might want to use their bankroll in that betting market instead of the match against Lapentti.
