Fernando Llorente, who has been linked with a number of clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City, could be on his way to the Premier League, according his agent.

Bilbao last week revealed that Llorente, who has also been linked with Tottenham and Juventus, has no plans to sign a new contract and wants to leave the Spanish club.

The 27-year-old, who has just one year left on his current deal at San Mames, had on Monday hinted that he could be prepared to perform a U-turn and stay at Bilbao this season (see Related Articles).

But according to Carlos Arino Bajo, two Premier League clubs – one from London and one from Manchester – have expressed an interest in signing his client.

It is believed Tottenham are the London-based club showing interest, although Arsenal are known to be keen, while newspaper reports on Tuesday morning suggested Chelsea are ready to enter the race to sign the Spain international as they look to bring in a striker to replace Didier Drogba.

“Tomorrow [Wednesday] Llorente will speak to his destination,” Arino Bajo told the Daily Telegraph.

“It is very, very possible he will decide to go to the Premier League.

“I don’t know the [choice of] club at the moment but there are two [interested] clubs. One is in London, and one is in Manchester.”

The Manchester club is almost certainly Man City after United cooled their interest earlier this summer.

Bilbao have insisted Llorente will only be sold this month should his €36million buy-out clause be met.
