Cincinnati Reds Honour Latin American Players

While the Cincinnati Reds’ regular season has only just begun, the team’s hall of fame wants to honour some of the sport’s groundbreaking international talents.

A new exhibit at the Reds Hall of Fame and Museum, Los Rojos!: A Celebration of the Latino Impact on the Reds and Major League Baseball has opened. It takes an in-depth look at baseball’s long and complicated history in Latin America, as well as the influence LAtin America has had on the sport over the years. It also explores the lives of Latino celebrities that helped popularise the sport on a global scale.

Major League Baseball players have come from seventeen different nations in Latin America and the Caribbean and today, more than 30% of MLB players are of Latino heritage. Visitors to the Los Rojos exhibit will experience baseball in a new light as they immerse themselves in Latin American culture in this one-of-a-kind exhibit.
