Freddie Freeman makes his debut for the Los Angeles Dodgers

Freddie Freeman debuted for the LA Dodgers

The former Atlanta Braves’ first baseman, Freddie Freeman, has officially returned home. Born in California, the 5-times All-Star player made his debut for the Los Angeles Dodgers against the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday night in front of thousands of spectators in Dodger Stadium.

Freeman didn’t agree with the terms for his new contact towards the end of the 2021 MLB season, and he was forced to think about alternatives. That’s how he landed in LA after signing a six-year, $162 million contract in March this year. Not once has he stated his preference to stay in Atlanta for the rest of his career, but he didn’t get what he wanted from the management.

Now, after 12 full years as a part of the Braves, he is ready for a new daunting challenge under the Californian lights. He is eager to chase yet another World Series title after bringing one to Atlanta in 2021. Freeman remains among the top baseball players in the MLB even though he might be past his prime at the age of 32.
