Jacob deGrom is to miss more games than expected

The New York Mets will have to decipher yet another puzzle as Jacob deGrom picked up a shoulder injury reported on April 7th. The deGrominator is one of the best pitchers in the MLB and this will be a serious hit on the Mets’ ambition for a great start to the campaign. The latest updates on his condition suggest that he might be out for a couple of weeks.

Nevertheless, the team from the Big Apple has great replacements in the faces of Max Scherzer and Carlos Carrasco. Jake Reed and Taijuan Walker are also recovering from injuries which makes it even more difficult for their manager. The Mets still have a decent opportunity to make a statement this season as they have rarely caught our attention in the 21st century. Their last title dates to 1986 when they outclassed their rivals, Boston Red Sox, in a 7-game World Series.
