Farabello leaves TCU to join Creighton

Farabello reunites with Miller

Argentinian sharpshooting guard Francisco Farabello will transfer into the Creighton men’s basketball program after leaving Texas Christian University (TCU).

Bluejay head coach Greg McDermott announced Monday that the 6-foot-3 guard from Cañada de Gómez, Argentina, will spend his final two years of eligibility at Creighton. He will be reunited with former TCU assistant coach Ryan Miller, who also assumes a similar role with the Bluejays.

“Francisco brings a wealth of experience at both the college and international level” McDermott said. “His understanding of the game and ability to stretch the floor with the three-point shot fits perfectly in our system. We are thrilled to add him to the Bluejay family!” he added.

Farabello suited up for 73 games at TCU over three seasons, wherein he averaged 4.4 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 20.3 minutes while making 40.2 percent from the three-point range.

He also has extensive experience on the international level, representing Argentina in the 2019 FIBA U19 World Cup in Greece, the FIBA U18 Americas Championship in Canada, and the FIBA U17 World Championships in 2016 in Spain.
